Men's a cappella quartet with beautiful harmonies, and mostly traditional hymns including Blesses Assurance, Footprints of Jesus, In The Garden, and Nearer Still Nearer.  All 4 parts sung by Michael Eldridge.

"This album comes as the third installment of my "Whatever Is" series, inspired by Philippians 4. My journey with this series began in the summer of 2017, but my journey with music began as a child, singing a cappella hymns in church with my parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. In that setting, I developed an ear for harmony and a love for the classic hymns that have shaped the Christian world for centuries, the same unaltered hymns which I now sing. May this work bless and encourage those who hear it, and may these treasured musical meditations be kindled for another generation of Christians. This is my heritage.     Many years before this wonderful man was born, I told God that i really wanted someone to make some tapes (because CDs hadn't been invented) of pure gospel singing. Nothing fussy with blaring music and gumbled up voices. I wanted quality hymns sung by quality voices just like they are written. Well, God gave me my wish many years later. And it was sure worth the wait! Thank you so much for creating masterpieces of glorious music. Each song is perfectly and beautifully sung. You can feel his love for God and the music. I listen to them ALL of the time. It is honestly just about the only music I listen to. Wish I could give it 10 stars!

    l have always been under the impression that acapella means vocal only, no music. Aparerently not! A cappella means singing without musical accompaniment. acapella can mean just about anything you want it to be. Unfortunately, l was not happy with the music...it detracts from the singing. Also, l know many, many of the old hymns...and hardly recognized more than a couple, which is OK...that is how we learn the words...by hearing them...but l was looking forward to AMAZING GRACE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, ETC. I ALSO DISLIKED SOME OF THE MUSICAL ARRANGEMENTS...I LIKE TO LISTEN TO THE OLD HYMNS SUNG MORE SLOWLY AND DO NOT LIKE THE PLING-PLING-BOP- BOP MUSIC. Gypsy
