Description

A boy and his grandfather come face to face with their own mortality within a tomb of snow. Reliance upon God is their only option as escape is impossible. But the story does not hinge upon the question of their rescue; what captivates is the response that each has to the circumstances that God has placed them in. When death is a constant companion, how does one view life? The ebb and flow of emotions are captivating as the boy and his grandfather fight off predators and the terror produced by the uncertainties of their snowy grave.

Buried In The Snow reaffirms that family life has many of the same situations and life lessons regardless of the time period you are living in. Youthful rebellion and how it can teach hard lessons. Creative thinking when times are difficult and a problem needs solving. The need to stay focused on what we can do and leave those things we cannot change to the One who can. The grandson's faith stretched far beyond his youthful age. The story although tragic at times is a wonderful love story. It is a shame that more grandparents today do not become so fully involved in sharing the past with their grandchildren. Our modern and mobile society seems set against the benefits of living close to grandparents and extended family. Another job well done.

This CD was great for a long car-ride we had to take. It had realistic sound effects. Our children hung in suspense until we could make time to listen to the conclusion. Take-away: Always trust in God even when things seem to be bad.
