Hesba Stretton, under the influence of her mentor Charles Dickens, exposed this darkness through her stories. Soon to become one of the most popular writers of the 19th century, she won widespread fame for her book Jessica's First Prayer. Before long it had sold at least a million and a half copies, outselling Alice in Wonderland by "nearly ten times as many"! Today, we bring Hesba Stretton's story to life as a world-class audio drama, Jessica's Journey. As a web of characters become entangled with the knowledge of their past sins, a minister, a miser, and an unfit mother each encounter a miraculous redemption through their connection with the little Jessica-and her answer to prayer.

I really enjoyed this and have been telling others about it. Keep up the great job in telling others about Jesus Christ! Thanks so much!
Moving and Convicting
From Mark Cowperthwaite of Thomaston, Maine on 5/4/2015.
This audio drama was listened to by our entire family, and as we have come to expect from Lamplighter Theater, we were once again blessed immensely by the quality story, music, and cast who bring to life this beautiful story of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, of grace and mercy, of caring for the fatherless, and more.
Our family purchased 10 copies of this audio drama to share with others in our church as a gift. We encourage families regularly to buy books and audio dramas from Lamplighter as we appreciate the Biblical content and Gospel focused stories as they bring to life many long forgotten books and make them part of the legacy which we hope to give to our children and grandchildren.
EXCELLENT - once again....
From Doris of Dallas, Texas on 12/18/2014.
Once again, a beautiful story wonderfully recorded!
Thank you for producing wholesome stories that have an impact on children and adults alike and will be listened to over and over again!
From Deanna Wiginton of Celina, Texas on 11/25/2014.
It is a wonderful story but be careful about marital content for little ones. It has an alcoholic, abusive mother in the story and a near death experience in it. Otherwise an awesome story of a little girls faith and coming to Christ. My daughter is 10 and loved it.
From Chris Palmer of Brooks, Georgia on 10/16/2014.
This dramatic theatre production is of great excellence and our family loved listening as the story came to life. We love the books of Lamplighter and the glory they bring to the Lord.
We highly recommend this dramatic audio as well as all the dramatic audio productions.
Thank you Lamplighter for your service.
